Lamborghini wants an everyday model! What do you think?

The Estoque would be perfect for this role with a twin turbo version of the next gen Gallardo V10.

In other words, they want to go after Porsche 911 buyers. The 911 is made to be an everyday driver that can also be tracked every weekend and then driven home. No other car can do this on a consistent basis with nothing more than regularly scheduled maintenance. Good luck with that Lambo. The 911 has consistently ranked in the Top3 for most reliable car, bar none.

There going down the same path as Porsche. Never mind daily drivers and practicality!.. These are sports car makers! keep it that way.

An everyday car needs everyday reliability and some durability. That doesn't sound like Lambo's modus operandi at this time.

It could easily be done being that Lambo is basically mechanically now Audi based. The Gallardo and R8 GT are very similar mechanically. Lambo could offer a tweeked V8 for it's Gallardo or offer it in the proposed Estoque as a cut price model.Or perhaps a front engined coupe with a platform designed by Porsche.(My guess).

Does this mean their current cars are not designed for everyday use?

just to have it available would still be pretty cool, but every day driver i think would have to be affordable... ( not more than $100k )
