RENDERED SPECULATION: Does Kia Have The Mazda MX-5 In Its Sights?

RENDERED SPECULATION: Does Kia Have The Mazda MX-5 In Its Sights?
I think it is safe to say we didn't see this one coming. According to reports coming from Europe, Kia is working on dethroning the Mazda MX-5 Miata.

Yes, you heard correctly. Kia wants to take on what is largely considered one of the best driving cars. You can't say the Korean marque lacks ambition.

Said to weigh in around 2,200 pounds, the proposed Kia two seater would have a canvas roof and could be optioned with a dual-clutch transmission. In addition, rumors are suggesting that Kia would be open to turbocharging the powerplant for more than 200 horsepower.

Considering its sister brand, Hyundai, typically works together with Kia on projects, it is safe to assume that Hyundai would also use this car and make one of its own down the line. Of course this assumes this isn't a total fabrication...

What say you, Spies? Is this realistic or merely a work of fiction?

"I'm shocked KIA hasn't Kopied them yet."

And I'm shocked you still think Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Ford are orginal.

Take the Lincoln MKS, 2005 Acura TSX, 2005 Pontiac Bonneville, 2009 Accord Coupe, 2010 Ford Taurus and 2000 Nissan Altima hint headlights but only the 2011 Kia Optima would be the copycat. Now give me my negative votes and hurry up!!!
