What 2011 MY Vehicle Didn't Live Up To The Hype? What 2011 Car Have You NOT Seen On The Road?
Every year the automotive landscape is clobbered with all-new models or new offerings that just made their way across the pond. Typically, they're heralded as "the next big thing," or the savior for the automotive kingdom.

Some cars buck a new trend, like the Mercedes-Benz CLS, or flop, like the BMW 5-Series GT.

Considering that, we're brought to the 2011 model year vehicles. We want to know which specific vehicles have you NOT seen on the road lately but were hyped as a "gamechanger."

Make sure to let us know:

1) Which specific 2011 NEW model car you DON'T see

2) Where you live

I have yet to see a CR-Z, volt, or a leaf on the road. I live in Alberta Canada

Why? The only other two seaters under $30k that I can think of is the MX5 and smart car lol.

Regardless, this doesn't change the fact that I haven't seen any on the road.

Ok, keep twisting my words. It might make you seem smarter lol. All I said was that I have yet to see these vehicles. You turned this into an argument of numbers.

The reason why I asked why, was because it's stupid to compare the CR-Z to a corvette, 370z, smart car, or even a miata. The number of seating positions which you are using is a very useless metric. Each of these vehicles promises something different. It's apparent to me that the CR-Z is more of a competitor to the Mini Cooper, Ford Fiesta, VW Golf, Chevy Cruze in terms of size, performance, and price. And the only one selling anywhere near the low numbers is the golf, and honestly the Golf doesn't sell well at all.

low numbers seen with the CRZ is the Golf*

"...or flop, like the BMW 5-Series GT."

Excuse me, misinformed Agent. Are your blindfolds off? ONE country does NOT a global market make. The GT is selling amazingly well in markets not our own! Spread the word!!

We're keeping it local, sorry you're international.

Oh and while you're at it could you provide sales figures and initial forecasts of the 5GT for other markets?

The article is asking for where you live, all of our posts combined is then supposed to give a broader idea of where things aren't selling well.

I'll give you an example, the Prius is considered a success, but, where is it successful? States like California Oregon have about one Prius for every 175 or so people, however states like Louisiana and Mississippi Have closer to one Prius for every 1200 people. Global Success maybe, but if you live in these areas it clearly didn't live up to the hype on a local basis for many people.

I think the Camaro still wins this award. I see quite a few of them... but not as many as you would have hoped considering the "long time coming."

I could Agent, but you couldn't afford my fee to do all that work for you! I will tell China you called though. :)

Pft.

I am sure you're "fee" is outrageous considering you're flexing your interweb muscles.

Give China my regards ;)

I loved the CR-Z, I know everyone seems to have a bone to pick with it, but honnestly, a lovely car and I almost picked it over the CT200h, but the Lexus was unbelievably smooth in comparison, the difference between both cars is about 30 dollars a month in Montreal.

hugest dissapointment in 2011, a GMC Terrain I rented, the rental comapany had to refund the cost due to the wipers not working anymore ...

Craptastic ...

- The Lexus LF-A. The GS also appears to be non-existent. The BMW 5 series GT is another dud.

There are 300 LFA's in the WORLD. Get a clue.

300? Might as well be zero. The LF-A is vaporware.

What is your point? It damn sure doesn't have anything to do with cars (if you have a point at all). What the hell are you talking about? I must be getting to you guys? Get over it. LOL!

Agent: Your article reads: "Some cars buck a new trend, like the Mercedes-Benz CLS."

?? I'm confused. The CLS CREATED a new trend (it did not buck one).

Please clarify for me!

Audi RS5, lots of hype for a car that is ultimatly slower than the older M3. And its more expensive...
