VIDEO: 2011 BMW 1M & Audi TT RS Together On The Track
For whatever reason, any vehicle that is brand new and has around 330 horsepower immediately gets compared to the 1M. Hence, we now have video of the Audi TT RS on the track with the 2011 BMW 1M.
Let it be clear though: this isn't a race or review. These are simply two cars having fun on the track for the camera.
With that said, any thoughts on either/or, Spies?

just out of curiosity, if a "front wheel drive based" all-wheel drive car has more skidpad grip and a faster slalom speed than a rear wheel drive car, does it really matter if it's "front wheel drive based"? I'm not talking about the TT-RS vs. 1M specifically, just in general. Every review I've read about the A4, S4, A6, A8, TT-RS, etc. all say the handling is at or near the top of their respective classes. The only new Audi model whose handling hasn't been basically universally praised is the upcoming RS5. So again, they seem to be handling great, does it matter?

JRobUSC, I believe that this is a matter of personal preference, though one should consider that most, not all but most, forms of racing have always been RWD so perhaps this setup brings a bit more nostalgia. Same too could be said about transmissions; nowadays Ferrari, Porsche among many others have transmissions that operate faster and more efficiently than a standard transmission, yet for those drawing on nostalgic memories, stick is the way to go. Personally, I would prefer a Stick RWD sports cars over a slightly superior AWD/FWD sports car.

I choose the TT RS, because not only is it fast as crap, but it looks good while doing it.
