Time to cut out $3000-$5000 profit per vehicle. They're getting desperate like the Detroit bunch was before the bailouts.

Their biggest problem is inventory right now. After they get that back online then they might be able to discount enough to catch up.

I don't understand why you would discount a product that supposedly has scarcity.

What makes more sense is that they simply aren't selling as well as Toyota would like. Like I argued before with Honda, a very large percentage of Toyota's aren't even made in Japan, and any Japanese parts that could hold up production would hold up production of every international auto manufacturer, not just the Japanese ones.

So much for resale value.

Don't necessary agree with the Toyota building cars people want, Hyundai has hit a homerun with their stylish new cars for example. I do have to disagree with the 0% enticing then beating people up. Toyota's qualifications for 0% are no more stringent than any other manufacturer's, possibly even less so. If someone's credit is subpar, do they deserve 0% just like the consumer who has payed every bill and has an 850 credit score? Just saying

I never believe that 0 percent crap anyway. They just waste your time.

Just because 0% financing is being offered, it does not mean everyone will qualify, there are still other criteria for determining elegibility.
