Ford To Build Three Cylinder Turbo Motor For US Market
Ford Motor Co. will build a three-cylinder engine for the first time, Derrick Kuzak, vice president of product development, said today.
The automaker's smallest engine ever will be used in global small cars and will have power output similar to Ford's four-cylinder engines, Kuzak said today at a briefing in Dearborn, where Ford is based.

A 3 cylinder eco boost engine with an 8 speed tranny? hmmm... I'll pass, but it's nice to think that not only powerful cars get cool technology.

For what a lawnmower. I'm sure if you're looking for "MPGs" then some folks may want to drive a 3 cylinder car. However, I believe many people will recognize that even some 4 cyinder cars, along with a 3 cylinder car would be under powered, loud and may have enough "go power". I'll pass on the 3 banger.
