Golf GTi 230 PS 30th year edition
Although found in a german magazine and found while waiting for my car to be fixed in a VW garage in germany. It ecxplains the extras, including the red GTi badge on the steering wheel, and the extra 30 PS. VW are planning on releasing for sale in the enar future, this year! And as a special 30th year of the gold GTi. Looks like a 28,000 euro price tag still shy of the 32,000 expected for the R32

Why take it if a simple chip upgrade wil give 50hp+ over stock, cost $ 600

Becuase you get full factory warranty. This will come in a year or so to US. Plus, you can cheap it and still get 50 more hp for a total of 280 (hopefully VW didn't just up the advertised hp as some GTIs have been dynoed at 200 WHEEL hp or 220 crank hp)BTW the chips are a good deal. From what I have seen they get a slightly less hp than advertised but really nice torque gains while generally improving the torque/hp curves.

Why waste money upgrading the car when your going to invalidate a Warrenty...if you cant afford a car with 250 BHP dont upgrade one to it!!
