So we have V8 R8, V10 R8, GT R8, V10 Convert R8, and now Convert GT R8.

Sounds like Audi is taking a page from Porsche's book.

Since Audi has taken Porsche into common ownership, the disease is clearly spreading. Don't forget that there will be a Convertible V8 R8 coming to the U.S. next year (already in Europe)

When did Audi take ownership of Porsche, I was not aware of this? Audi doesn't own anything including Lamborghini. They manage Lamborghini and they will not own Porsche. This car is just ridiculous. It has an old chassis, old gearbox and they are trying to squeeze another 333 units out of this car! There are already lots of R8 V-10 Spyders laying around lots now. The V8 Spyder has yet to be on sale in this market.

Yes a 3.6 sec 0-60 car is a poser car. I wish I could pose in that car.

Ferrari had the 430 Scuderia and then the 16M

Also had the 599 GTO and then the SA Aperta.

Bmw had an M6 Cab

Porsche has a Turbo Cab

But when Audi does it, it suddenly is the most stupid decision in the world.

VW Group owns Audi, Seat, Skoda, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Bentley, VW, and has a "significant" interest in Porsche, i.e. they control it.
