Rolls-Royce CEO says nobody wants and electric Phantom... Why is that?

It’s not a secret anymore that Rolls-Royce wants to build an electric version of the Phantom flagship sedan as the British manufacturer unveiled the 102EX Concept back in March at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Less power, more weight, same luxury and it costs more. To save what 2 extra mpg. Yea I would pass as well.

I wondered why BMW hadn't tried the market with a hybrid or electric version of the Ghost. This would be a case for maybe using their version of the 2-mode hybrid transmission. The heavier the vehicle, the better that particular system will work.
