What's MORE Unexpected Than This Couple Of Cars At Today's Cars And Coffee?

Our man on the ground in southern California, Fred Khaz, was at today's Cars and Coffee event and he, once again, managed to stumble across some cool stuff.

Although I live near Mercedes-Benz's USA headquarters, I haven't seen one of these. It's a B-Class. Could this be an early indicator that Mercedes is going to be bringing this sucker to our shores? Why else would they have one on the ground?

Then Khaz hit the motherload. The new 911 Speedster. These are going to be so rare in the U.S. that its basically incredible that he had the opportunity to see even one.

Last week, I saw a 996 wrapped in vinyl carbon fiber and labeled a 911 GT2 RS. Just a bit later, a guy pulls up in a brand new 911 GT2 RS. LOL

Other than exclusivity, there's absolutely no reason to choose the Speedster over the Turbo S Cabriolet.

Love the look of the speedster but a fool and his money are soon parted.
Those who know what makes a real driving machine and Porsches will laugh at you behind your back and those that don't know will love it unless they learn what you paid for it and then they too will laugh at you behind your back. Only gold diggers and the uninformed will swoon when you drive bye. Good luck with that !

thats the most rediculous logic(lack) ive ever heard, if you can afford things that doesnt make them stupid?? Than all those tacky gold painted, crocodile leather cars that you see arent stupid because their expensive? There is one born everyday. The speedster only makes sense for a person that wants a porsche no one will ever see, it is no more than a regular model porsche with parts from the Porsche exclusive parts bin and nothing else. I would skip the mustang color, mustang colored "plastic" interior bits and buy a car more worthy of that price tag.
