STUD OR DUD? 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Slips Out From Under The Covers

STUD OR DUD? 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Slips Out From Under The Covers
Mercedes-Benz has taken a conservative tack with the design of its third-generation M-Class crossover vehicle, which shares its underpinnings with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and is due to reach U.S. showrooms this fall as a 2012 model.

The redesigned M-Class gets all-new sheet metal and a revamped cabin. It will be offered initially in three variants: ML 250 Bluetec 4Matic, ML 350 Bluetec 4Matic and ML 350 4Matic BlueEfficiency.

As the 4Matic label indicates, all three versions come with permanent all-wheel drive. They also feature the company's 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automatic transmission.

Looks like I expected that it would, it will still sell quite well as the previous ones have and they featured similar styling. The M class has always looked pretty good.

the rear resembles to Lexus Rx series. the tail light seems like something out of LS 430.

the interior has greatly improved., so big plus here.

overall i like what i see so far. the introduction of 4 cylinder in M class has yet to be proven successful.

That diamond patterned leather interior is "designo" meaning it will cost thousands to special order it.

You dont come to a car enthusiast site and talk elementary crap and think that it will fly. Go brush your teeth. Your breath smells like sh*t sir. As Ive said before, the Grand Cherokee and Durango are NOT based on a Mercedes.

Interior is very nice, but the exterior is just dreadful.

Ditto. Just far too dull to look at considering its price tag and its class.

Have to agree with some here that it does have similar traits to the Grand Cherekee, but this is expected considering their earlier association.

The GC and Durango have received great reviews, as they should. Both are very competitive in there classes. They do share underpinings from the M class but thats it. The body styles and interiors along with appointment are all Chrysler. Blazinboy your giving MC to much credit. Backwards again.

The front looks good, the rear looks terrible, and the interior seems like a huge improvement.
