German Coupe Face Off: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG vs. BMW M3 vs. Audi RS5

The latest vehicle to join the hardcore, German coupe phenomenon is the mighty Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Although we've heard other publication's view on the new AMG, we have yet to hear about this wicked threesome and how they all drill down.

Thanks to our friends at M3post -- who sourced the review from AutoBild -- and a translator, we now have a better idea of how the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe shakes down against the Audi and BMW equivalents.

Can the M3 still maintain its strangle hold on the class? Time to find out...


The C63 AMG Coupe debuted recently to much buzz because it represents Mercedes' best direct competitor to the BMW M3 coupe yet. Autobild has printed their first drive impressions comparing the two German sports coupes, and have also thrown in the RS5 coupe to include all 3 similar offerings from Germany's top 3 luxury makes. The M3 is still the best after 4+ years on the market. As for best of the rest, my choice would be the C63.

Im sorry the RS5 looks just awful, it has a massive chicken wire grill, and tacky chrome mirrors and front lip. The regular A5 looks fine, but not this.

For the track the M3 hands down, but the mercedes would be fun, the Audi is to heavy and understeers horribly. For everyday, it would be a toss up between the C63 and the M3.

Don't get me wrong, I would take the M3 over the others any day of the week. But to me the RS5 LOOK better.
