If GM cuts off OPEL, GM is out of Europe, because here in Europe nobody likes Chevrolet or Cadillac and OPEL/Vauxhall is the only hope for GM to have any positions on european market.

They won't sell Opel. Too many of their platforms are based on Opel/Vauxhall.Where GM has been weak with Opel/Vauxall has been in chassis design. They consistantly rank below Ford,Audi,Pugeot,Citroen,
VAG,and even Fiat. They have good car designs but they don't drive as well. There are few exceptions but frankly there is a lot of competition out there. Further the scrappage programs are over in Europe. This affected all car makers.
