No Pass, No Drive - Should Law Makers Ban Flunkies From Driving?
When I was a teen, you could identify high-school dropouts by the cars they drove. Nice ones, often sporty, shiny and new.
In contrast, kids who stayed in school typically drove old beaters or uncool family cars on a parental-loan basis.
But after leaving school prematurely, drop outs usually went to work in low-end jobs, yet ones that provided money for new wheels – if someone were willing to devote the lion’s share of earnings to car payments.
Unfortunately, plenty of under-educated kids did and do that.

big, liberal, socialist government. Take away "liberal" and that statement would be correct. Conservatives are also about big government. Even bigger government than the liberals.
It's just that the Republicans have Fox News to make you think that they are different. They aren't. Open your mind.

"socialism is never a successful form of government."
Cough cough cough
now who's dollar is worth more now? The socialist Canadians or America?
It would seems as though socialism is a viable alternative if given the right expectations.

- Capitalism isn't any better. As evidenced by our current crappy economy. It's good for the wealthy (and corporations) but not so good for the middle class and the poor. Nothing has "trickled" down. But the republicans even want to give bigger tax breaks to corporations? For what? Jobs? Please.
And if you think that the republicans aren't about big government then you aren't paying attention. They (the Republicans) are taking away worker's rights. If that isn't big Gov't then I do not know what is.

I think it's silly its just another way the government treats the symptoms instead of the issue. Only an idiot would intentionally just drop out of high school to drive a nice car. Chances are that they have messed up circumstances but need to drive(ex. to help take care of their younger siblings) or they have an idiotic mindset that won't be fixed by not having a drivers license and 9 times out of 10 they'll drive any way and when they hit you without a license and no insurance I'm sure you'll be happy.

Are you sure that is the law in the US? You might be correct im not sure. I live in Yonkers,NY and here we take a written test for the permit and than you schedule your road test in which you ride in the car with an instructor who tells you to make turns, parallel park etc while putting in your score into a handheld device. There is no written exam for the road test and no classes are required.

Lexsucks, US healthcare was not prefect, yet IT WAS the best system in the world, unless of course you consider waiting months for treatment in any of the failed european systems. You readily put down Republicans, yet fail to analyze why capitalism is doing so poorly. Fact: we do NOT have a free market. Democrats have made sure of that by instituting such stupidities as cheap and accessible mortgages to the poor, unearned benefits to 47% of americans. This and many other socialist institutions have severely handicapped this country just like the Unions destroyed the city of Detroit and the american auto industry.
Capitalism will only work under a TRUE free market, with no liberals satnding in the way to impede this system.

"TRUE free market"
- I'm not 100% sure what you mean by that. But corporations need to be regulated. Can you image not having any meat inspectors? Or are you comfortable with the corporation’s inspections?
You can’t have corporations doing whatever the heck they want, and you can’t fully trust any entity where the main goal is to make money. If you do, you will eventually end up getting burnt.
And I do agree with you about the unions. But there’s a reason why we have unions in the first place. And that was because when corporations were unregulated they paid the workers virtually nothing, offered zero benefits, and treated them like crap. That’s not the America I want to see come back. But that's what the Rebulicans want. More for the corporations and less for the worker. I'm with the workers, who are you with?
