Pricing released for new 3-series coupes!!!!

Enjoy....I'm a little surprised by the low prices. The 335i is $2,000 under most preliminary estimates which stated that it would be at least $42K base.

The base is cheaper than what was rumored, but you don't even get leather for the 40k. Adding basic options that all cars will come with easily bumps the price over 45k.

yes, Chewy I know you are an Audi supporter but understand what this base price on the 335i means.

For 46K you can get a nearly loaded 335i which is newer, just about as fast or faster (0-60 in 5.3 for 335i w/ manual)and it looks mean as hell.

Audi is going to have to do something because this price will eat away sales of the S4 in no time at all.

It's not even 49K and with some good negotiating skills I'm willing to bet in one year you can get the car for 46-47K without much trouble.

At a base of $42K. The BMW 335i will not stay on the dealer lot for long. Audi is not the only manufacturer that will need to do something. But, Mercedes, Lexus, and Infiniti will have to do something because this price will eat away at all of their sales. The upcoming V8 M3 coupe and M3 4 door sedan is going to add even more fuel to the fire.

BMW3W the 335i starts at $40,600 NOT the $42,000 that was initially expected.

at current pound/dollar exchange rate, the 328 is 19000 pounds and 335 22000! that is soooo cheap...you yanks get the best deals...a base 325 coupe (the current one, not the new one) is 27000! you have to sink to a 320 to get a similar price...does that price include tax and things though? as in is it the otr price?

Us Canadian get ripped off left and right on luxury cars. A $44,000 USD Lexus IS 350 costs about $63,000 when in all reality, it should cost $49,000! That is highway robbery! Can you say: wtf?!

Audi will be fine. The Audi A5 is will do just fine against the 3-series coupe. The new modular platform should really challange BMW.

Chewy I think both vehicles will do just fine. Unfortunately for Audi, there is more exposure and brand awareness for BMW. Therefore I think the BMW coupe will outsell Audi 5 to 1. Too bad too, Audi makes a terrific car. I just wished they could manage thier business as well as BMW has over the last 20 years.

I agree, the pricing on the new coupe was less than I expected. I would also expect that the new generation M3 to be in the upper 50's to low 60k range. If this comes to fruition it will but kill the sales on the Audi RS4. I think this puts alot of strain on Audi and Merc to come up with an answer over the next year or so. I cant wait til they come out so I can go get one
