What this means that a bad design or marketing decision in NA will not have a check and balance from Japan. Toyota will lose as much as it gains if you don't have good personnel making key decisions.

If we Americans were so smart, our own auto industry or economy in general would not need so much government or foreign-financed debt assistance to keep it propped up.

I don't think Toyota has fully grasped that it's strength is in having top quality products with excellence in design.

You comments assume that bad management reside only with American made auto manufacturers. Fact: Toyota's recall problems are the product of bad management decisions.

Furthermore, Nissan, would be bankrupt were it not for Renault, an auto maker co-owned by the French Government.

Wake up already from delusional thinking.
