The article states that VW says it would cost a lot to meet emissions. Bull! They have already certified the engine/transmission combo with AdBlue for the Passat. It can't cost that much more to add another model. I realize with 4Motion they might have to rerun some emissions tests, but I don't believe they would have to start all over again.

Just a guess on my part, but I thnk they just don't have enough of the engines to go around. They need another engine line, and I think that will be the next addition to the Tennessee facility.

CAN'T BE TO EXPENSIVE!!! After all, the CC is getting another facelift. That alone cost a lot of money.
