Will The New Hyundai Accent End The Fiesta In Detroit?

Will The New Hyundai Accent End The Fiesta In Detroit?
If the bright, shiny lights didn't give it away, maybe the Hoover Dam will.

Agent 001 is in fabulous Las Vegas out testing the 2012 Hyundai Accent. Aiming to square up against all of the entry-level fighters, the Accent is riding a success wave from Hyundai as is.

Something tells us that the Koreans are not ready to throw in the towel for this, yet.

With the Sonata taking sales from the competition, as well as the breakthrough Genesis, we think there are plenty of reasons why the 2011 Ford Fiesta should be worried.

Given that, we want to know: will the NEW Hyundai Accent END the Fiesta in Detroit?

Oh yeah, and does Hyundai know how to have some fun. They had Don Felder, of The Eagles, come by and jam out.

Well played, Hyundai. Well played.

Hyundai is definitely bringing their "A" Game when it comes to the launch of the all new 2012 Accent. The Fiesta will definitely have some serious competition.

Let the fun begin.

All that happens here is just a matter of time, because they attack with aggresive campaign ,commercials all the time, and all american brands can do that too. This is an important detail.Normal customer and people just live present and don't remember the past, because people start to forget the embarassing past of those cars Kia and Hyunday low quality and poor design,so when you drive just look around to see the all mediocre things made by them previously. Now is not different theirs new weapon is to use better design but as they do always, (Mixer design of others brands) and quality still low as we can expect from those cars. Americans can do better all the way so let see if they let others take theirs place.

GOD! This thing looks exactly like the Fiesta, this is ridiculous. You know everybody talks about Hyundai's quality going through the roof this and that. I will have to wait ten years to see how Hyundai's from today are doing then, you cant judge quality by simply looking at a new design or because it "looks good and expensive". Quality can only be judged over tim not just by looks.

This Accent party... I don't understand, they are using a technique to lure in affluent buyers to buy one of the cheapest cars money can get... speaking of cheapness, I laughed when I saw this commercial.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67lvJ9n4Jtc

They have a magic wand and they get the cheapest new car money can buy lol.

"Side profile of Accent hatch looks so much like the fiesta."

So is the Mazda 6 and Acura ZDX's side so what's your point?

Side profile, Mazda CX-5, Infinti EX and 2009 Subaru Impressa hatch. So come lets bring all the copy cats to the Kitchen table. I'm jtz. Don't mess with me.. I can get cars from A to Z. Now hurry up with my negative votes.

Quick to say, "The Hyundai Tuscon is a rip off to Nissan Murano" and ignoring that the Mazda CX-5 also ripped off one of Nissan's SUVs.

And no the Accent will not end the Fiesta. Just good compeition. Unlike that Yaris and Fit. Ain't no one going to say what the face of the Chevy Sonic looks like huh...... remove the Chevy badge and put a Daewoo badge on it and lets see if you guys will pretend it's orginal then.

Volvo S60 and Buick Regal hint greenhouse.

That's right give me my negative points. It's ok to say HKAG copy but not ok to say cars from Japan copies others. I LOVE IT!!! That' mean y'all salty. Give me my negative points. Hurry up!!! It won't change the face of the Tundra, Sonic, Lancer or VW Iroc concept now will it?

Nonofyobus, I don't work for neither Hyundai or Kia, I just put down what needs to be put on the kitchen table. Acting like Toyota, Chevy, Nissan, and Honda don't copy. So far ain't no one said, "the Acura ZDX's side looks nothing like the Mazda 6's" or "the Ford 500's tailights didn't copy the Grand Prix's" or even " the Tundra's face looks nothing like the VW Iroc's". Instead, I get negative votes. And don't give a damn. Now hurry up with my negative votes HKAG haters. I'm jtz, I can get car designs from A to Z. I ain't going no where. From Acuras, To Volvoos. To Lincoln and Dodges to Jeeps and Infintis from Suzukis to Toyotas to Daewooes to Chevy's. Any car I can get. I'm not biased like you haters thinking only cars from Korea copies. I won't -10 votes. I wanna see how many haters read my commets.

seriously is there an american car out there that you would get over an import from germany japan or korea? i cant think of one at the same price. class range may be the same but american cars all cost more (thanks uaw) there isnt a car out there for the price better then the sonata. camery, accord, maxima i cant think of one car better then either or more reliable then either of those. corvette is good if you just want a fast car but its junk and not an everyday driver. chrysler is garbage saw the 200 the other day i would rather take the bus

All I can see is Hyundai is a very quick study and progressing at lightening speed. It will depend on driving dynamics. If they are close
to or as good as the Fiesta it is going to be some strong competion. But so is the new Sonic from Chevy. It's going to be a difficult fight and this is why Mazda is suffering right now.

If anything is going to end the Fiesta's party it's going to be the Sonic. GM for the First time has really made a legitimate subcompact competitor and its specs make it seem that it will be the most enjoyable car in the segment when it is released.

Actually no, it isn't. Nice try though. Its ride and handling were tweaked by Corvette engineers and its got 18 hp on the Fiesta with largest in class trunk space in sedan form. GM isn't going anywhere within the decade, despite your bias.

Hyundai will sell their cars.

At 150,000 miles, I'd rather be in a Fiesta or Fit.

Note: No Hyundai has been achieving their projected fuel mileage in road tests---by a lot!

Enjoy your Hyundai!!

Will the new Hyundai Accent end the Ford Fiesta? By MSRP, yes.

While Hyundai knows how to build a great car these days, this car reminds me of where they came from. I dont know why but it's screaming CHEAP (design-wise). Exterior: I think that "fluid-motion" design thing is working less and less (the smaller the vehicle). Interior: Just take a look at the Fiesta's interior and you be the judge. http://www.peyeimages.com/cars/images/ford-fiesta-interior/ford-fiesta-interior-picture-106359.jpg

If Fiesta shed a couple thousand off the MSRP, the Fiesta would end the Accent. Just my 2cents...

For all the negative Hyundai hater talk, not one of you haters can run from the fact that this auto brand is gaining market share each and every year.

No wonder you all seem to be worried.

Hey upwards, just because the Daewoo Sonic and Daewoo Cruze are built in the states doesn't make it less Korean. After all, the Sorento and Sonata are built here. Daewoo is still Daewoo. Take the Chevy badge off the Daewoo Equinox and Cruze and lets see how it would sell. The Daewoo Cruze couldn't outsell the Mazda 3 with the Daewoo logo.
