Ford could decide to make a passenger version of the Transit Connect

Just because Ford canceled a plan to build the seven-passenger Focus minivan, it doesn’t have to mean that it has totally given up on the chance of offering a three-row compact minivan.

They should. Minivans are unnecessarily large. Theres nothing mini about them. 90%of minivan buyers do not need that much space, they need the passenger space more so than all of that cargo space.

I always thought the Transit Connect would make an awesome camper van, like a modern VW Westfalia. Simple, cheap, looks like a decent amount of space/headroom back there.

I was disappointed to hear that Ford changed their mind about bringing over the Grand-C Max (aka C-Max here in the US). I am now even more disappointed to see that the TC would be its replacement. It's not just size and practicality, it's also driving dynamics and the Grand-C Max has it in spades when compared against the TC (regardless of how it will be re-configured for transporting people). I guess the Mazda 5 will continue to be best vehicle with the best combination of size, practicality and driving performance.
