For the 2012 model year, Ford Motor Co. is expanding its Sync AppLink software program to cover 10 models. It is also quadrupling the number of members of its Sync development team in the next four years. Though I like that Ford has shed its stodgy past of offering simplistic-looking stereo systems, their new entertainment system is bit on the "busy side" as it offers so much information at a glance. And it would require more than a glance to figure out what you want to do & need to do --- all while driving.

The system Ford is using seems like it would be more suitable for a handheld media player or a smartphone. If you start throwing in too many available functions, it would be long before an accident happens, and the consumer will point the finger at the product.
