It could be a homage to any of the countless Landaulet from various manufacturers, some of which aren't around anymore.

Yet, all over the Internet the Lexus fanboys are touting the "innovation" of Lexus with this car. They're clearly unaware that Landaulets have been around since the very first days of the automobile and that this is nothing new.
