Have to agree with chewy on Ferrari interiors. Considering what you're shelling out to get into one, SOME ergonomics would be nice. I don't mean leather and suede everywhere, but simple things like layout and quality go a long way.

Superstacat u have some interesting opinions on the car world, opinions that I'm sure noone shares.

1st of all to say BMW has the best interiors in the buisness next to Ferrari is flat out ignorance! While BMW produces a nice interior, there still topped by the gorgeous rich feel of mercedes interiors (In there newer modles) and the space age yet classy oriented Audi interior.
One of the LEAST greatest things in a Ferrari is it's interior, it's not built to have a flashy interior! Have you seen the latest interiors produced by Bentley (which is Audi owned)? They belong in a car museum!

Anyhow I think it's safe to say that noone agrees with your opinion on ferrari having the best interiors in the buisness!

BMW is the benchmark for performance between these German auto giants. To say that they're generally worse than the competition performance wise, is flat out retarted!
Having the fastest car out of the competition doesn't neccasarily mean it's the top performer. Look at Lexus's IS 350 with over 300 hp, and it still can't topple BMW's 255 hp 330i performance wise.

You also say Bimmer's are a rip-off for the stuff you get at the price you pay. Well a brand new fully loaded Audi A4 3.0 is the exact same price as a fully loaded BMW 330i. Merecedes however usually charges an extra 10 grand over the competition for any of it's cars!
So to say BMW's the rip off between these three is ludacris. Your ludacris (and i don't mean the rapper)!

huu76, where are you getting your facts?

1st of all Audi doesn't even offer the 1.8T engine in there car's anymore! It's the 2.0T now. That said either the A4 1.8t or the new A4 2.0T come in at 40k (mabye in Canadian dollars but not American).

2nd of all a BMW 325i has a cheaper list of options than a Mercedes C230, and when your done paying for all those options in the benz, it comes out to be the same price as the bimmer! All the other C-class trims come in more expensive than their BMW counterparts.

Oh yeah huu76, another thing.
I was in Ontario Canada last year where I test drove the new BMW 330i and Audi A4 back to back. I walked out of the BMW dealership and entered the Audi dealership right after. I ticked off all the possible optional goodie boxes possible for both car's... And guess what? They both came out to 71K (Canadian dollars) if i remember correctly, with the Bimmer only costing $175.00 more than the Audi.

So how about checkin those numbers again huu76!

Man I Was Born in the U.S. lived there until i was 5 then moved to British Columbia and grew up there until i was 18, Now im back in the states. So I know enough about living in Canada, the cars we have and you don't, aswell as the cars you have and we don't.

If you read what i said closer you'll realize i said these cars may come in at 40K Canadian but not American.

The only BMW not fitted with standard dual climate control is the 323i sedan, which is only offered in Canada, so to millions it's not even relevent! That said the C230 base models pricing falls right in between the 323i and the 325i, with the 323i costing 2 grand less and the 325i costing 2 grand more than the C230 (and that's Canadian dollars for ya).

The 325i also has a cheaper option list than the C230 and is way more fun to drive!

So I'll agree the Audi A4 2.0T seems to be the bargain out of these 3 models, but i definitly don't agree that the bimmer's a rip off compared to the competition. It's the benchmark compared to the competition!

I totally disagree with this guy.

The new interiors of MB happen to look functional, modern and well built. I myself absolutely adore the CLS interior as well as the E-Class and ML / GL / R-Class interior. They have their own style that is "typical modern MB". That is, I see an SL interior and a CLS interior without the star on the steering wheel and I could guess that they're both from the same company.

He's also saying that Mercedes is COPYING BMW simply because of the S-Class interior? The S-Class interior may have been BMW-inspired, but it looks considerably different from a 7-Series interior. That's a big difference by itself. Personally, I have come to like the new S-Class and its interior. Yes, I'd even take this car over a BMW 7-Series, which looks downright fat and bloated next to the new S-Class (trust me, it hurts me to say this about the 7-Series).

Overall, the guy sounds incredibly bias and clueless. I also suspect he's a BMW fan and hence makes these accussations. Such people give us guys a bad name... :(

Why does Audi and all the BMW haters always creep into every discussion?

Let me address the pro-audi people. Audi's cost about as much as BMW's for the most part. That being said if one thinks that price and options are the sole item to figure out the value of a product, then you have been mislead your whole life and should buy a cadillac. since when does an audi have a good resale value? Last time I checked, an Audi A4 quattro depreciates about 10% faster than any BMW I know of. Hell, the Audi A8 is basically worthless about 2 years later. So much for a great interior. It is not Audi's fault but more their parnet company VW for killing their resale value. They think that producing more is better. The best Bang for your money is a BMW.

As far as Mercedes or should we say Chrylser-Benz is concerned. Are they not having quality control issues on all their cars? Lasst time I checked the current E-class is horrible for quality issues. what about the c-class or the ML? Mercedes, though will always have the " 3-point Star" and will therefore have the status thing for them. That is all they have going, until they can produce a car that doesnt break down about every 1 of 3 cars.

BMW will always be on top in the US. Looks like Audi and Mercedes will be battling out for the number 2 spot.

What spec sheet are you refering to? Side airbags are standard on a 325. Apparently you are too caught up in the japanese thing. Where being an individual and ordering exactly the car you want with only the options you want will never happen. I dont like to have a car that everyone else has. Same options and same colors. I will always pay more for something more exclusive. So when I pull up in my M3 to valet park people arent looking at me and wondering if I am driving a VW passat or Audi, Acura or honda, lexus or toyota ... Individualism rules and those who can afford to do it ...

huu76 ... apparently you have never read the specs of what comes standard on an entry level BMW 325 ... Side Air-bags are located in the seat plus a front and rear curtain head protection system. Tilt down mirrors for reverse have been standard on every BMW since about 1990's, since you didnt look at the reat doors you wouldnt have noticed the rear child locks. I know, I know that would have taken you too long to figure that out. Hey does Audi or lexus have the Door anchoring system in their cars to help aid along with the side door impact beams? NO ... Does Audi and lexus offer a cornering braking system to aid in the locking up during a turn? NO ... DID Audi or Lexus develope the first adaptive and cornering Xenon Headlights to improve safety and visibility when cornering? NO ... I do believe that BMW & Mercedes have been the leader in almost every saftey advancement since the automobile was invented. But you are right, you cant afford a BMW. I feel bad for anyone that would spend $50k on a JEEP. A fool and his money are soon parted ...

huu76 ... I didnt say that BMW invented xenon lights ... They have had adaptive xenon lights that swivel 15 % to 7 % in the direction of the turn since 2003. I do believe that Lexus came out with those kind of lights in 2004. Also the adaptive headlights date as far back as 2000 on BMW. If you read you would see that BMW has those specs standard .... let me post it for you to make it easier ....

this is the standard equipment for a BMW 325i. You will notice that alot of the features that are standard in regards to safety active and passive are standard on a BMW .... Their DSC ( Dynamic Stability Control ) is the best in the business. They have Brake drying system and Brake stand by ... This is standard and not available with any other manufacturer. Along with Cornering Brake control ...BMW had the first differential deployment airbags in the industry. This allows the airbags to deploy at different speeds based on the severity of the impact ... Of course you knew this though .....
