Study says women like men who drive expensive sports cars.. . Why?

Flashy cars and expensive clothing generally means money - and the more money, the more attractive the guy becomes.

Why the outcome of the study is the wrong question. The question is WHY is a college, professors and students wasting time and money on crap like this when they are supposed to be training people to compete in the world stage? No doubt government money was shoveled into this dumpster of wasted effort and soul.

Women are like fish. They like flashy things whether it be metaphorically or literally.

I need not even click on "read article" to answer this question.

For those who dont know, women see $$$$$$$$$ when you are a man who has an expensive sports car.

'cause they're smart! And the guys... lucky bastards! ahahha

The article / research does not appear to be very sophisticated. Here are a few hypotheses that might explain why men sometimes have flashy cars:

1. Flashy cars are predominantly two seater vehicles: the men who drive them are more likely to be available, they probably don't have kids and may not have a wife so they don't need a back seat.
2. Men who are available, for a given income, will have more money available for luxury goods if they don't have kids and a wife or live-in girlfriend. More disposable income means more likely to have a second, fun, vehicle
3. It's when you are middle aged to buy a flashy car than to lose 20-30lbs and re-grow hair. A flashy car is less painful and cheaper than expensive plastic surgery
4. It's fun to have a cool ride

And a few reasons why women might like guys with the flashy rides:
1. It signals the guy is unattached
2. It signals the guy may have disposable income
3. It signals the guy could be more macho, with an understanding of fine machinery.

Oh and one more thought for the 21st century, wonder if single guys driving fine cars are more likely to be gay [which is why they often don't have kids and do have higher disposable income], and the women who like men driving flashy cars really want an interior designer friend to take them shopping in high style.

In other news, guys rather drive expensive sport cars than used Yugos. Hope someone uses this as a university research/thesis.

I think people associate cars with horses. I ride a Jag and it's true. Somehow women just want to get inside. After that the tell everybody about it. It never happens with Toyotas, that's for sure:).
