RENDERED SPECULATION: What's It Going To Take For Mercedes-Benz To BUILD This?

It seems like rumors about a Mercedes-Benz CL-Class convertible have been around for...ever! The problem is nothing has ever materialized.

Well, nothing besides that hideously chopped CL done up by a custom shop. I don't want to mention names or anything but it wasn't a clean-looking job when the top was down. Just Google it.

Anyway, our friend Andre decided to pass along an image of what a rendered 2011+ CL-Class would look like if Mercedes decided to take a walk on the wild side.

Question is:

Would you LUST for this or is Benz better off NOT making it?

I'm surprised that they didn't. They offer a variety of models that makes a Lexus fan jealous, yet they haven't gotten to lopping the roof off the CL!

Remember the Merc "S" class convertible aka the "Ocean" concept?

Sadly Merc will never build these.

Instead they prefer to utilize they're resources on those great sedans everyone loves called Maybachs (full sarcasm intended).
