actually no, it doesn't anymore. The X1 is available in rear drive, too, there are X1 sDrive models.

They can put an Xdrive or Sdrive badge on the rear away from the X1 2.0D badge, or and awd badge, keeping it separate from the name and model.

You can put the Xdrive for an all-wheel-drive, and nothing but just the X1 2.0d for the regular rear/front-wheel drive.
