What's The MOST You'd Ever Pay To Park?

What's The MOST You'd Ever Pay To Park?
Now that's a bit of a loaded question, I'll admit, but give it some thought for a moment.

We're not talking about how much to park for, say, an hour. We mean to actually own the spot outright. That's because someone made a purchase in west London for a 284 square foot spot and spent 200,000 pounds. Here's the catch though, after that initial price, you owe another 710 pounds per year for 99 years.

Yes, you read that correctly.

With that said, what's the MOST you'd ever pay to own a spot?

Even better: What the hell would you park there?

Behold Britain’s most expensive parking space: 284 square feet (26 square metres) of concrete in an underground car park in Knightsbridge, West London. There’s a separate entrance and exit driveway and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week remote access and security. The price is just…£200,000 (US$319,460) for the first nine years, then another £710 (US$1,134) a year for the next ninety...

If you guys see the calibre of vehicles that are parked on the street in the Knightsbrige / Kensington area of london you will understand why someone will happily pay that much for a space.

I am not kidding when i say that there are over 200 streets in that area that will have at least 2 Turbo Cabs, 1 or more 430, 2 or more 599s, Cayenne Turbos, DB9s and DBSs all on one residential street and Parked on the street where Tree Sap, Bird Droppings and other street traffic dings and dents constantly affect them.

Still remember a Brand New Continental GTC {Green With Tan Roof} Parked on a Busy Chelsea Street and unmoved for over 2 years, So long it was parked there that the tyres went flat and the roof ended up with stain patches.

Sultan of Brunei's Son also has a MayBach and a few other vehicles parked on the streets of London for more than 6 months at a time, But his vehicles are safe because they are parked close to the American Embassy.

When I go to Manhattan for a long weekend, I stop by Citi Bank and borrow $25,000 leaving my BMW 5GT as collateral. The interest on four days is cheaper than the parking fees at the hotel !
