Has anyone seen the show "Supersize this" this is for anyone that thinks Mcdonalds actually has food, this guy ate McDonalds for a month and almost died,so why would you people allow companies like this to be saved?

Because corporate America refinances much of its debt on a daily basis. Remember that Bear Stearns went under in March of 2008 because it could not refinance overnight loans.
That's why a credit crisis was so devastating, and could have been far, far worse without TARP.
Many more companies other than GM and Chrysler were at risk of collapse..........Much of the DOW.

Finally, someone shedding some light on a fact I've know about for a long time. The media has tremendously made this gov't loans to the car companies ALL about GM and Chrysler.

Chrysler Financial said Tues that it made one last payment on loans to the United States Government. The loans have been paid off a full six years early. The business was once the financial arm of automaker Chrysler LLC. The business owed $1.5 billion to the U.S. government.
