Infiniti Teases JX Crossover But How Many Features Will Flow From Concept To Production?
Infiniti continued the strip tease of the new JX 7 -Seat crossover today with a another photo. But if you think about, it we might have already seen the first iteration of the JX in conceptual form in Geneva with the
Etherea Concept. This is simply more of a good thing.
The real question may really be what features they plan to keep moving forward and what features are destine for the scrap bin. My first up to go are those sexy but impossibly impractical suicide doors. While they may look good in concept, the frame rigidity alone would be a major issue
So let us have it, what its the good the bad and the ugly? I have included a few shots from Geneva to remind you of the concept. Look it over and let us know what should they keep and what should they scrap.
Here is the teaser released today:
here are the concept photos we took at the Genva Motor Show. Yes you
can see where the took the production version takes the inspiration from.

I know they a going to keep the sloping pillar behind the door but I wonder will they keep the glass sealing. Before for sure they wouldn't but with all these panoramic sunroofs they might keep it. For sure the illuminated grille will go but it looks great.

From the tease it already looks like nothing "flowed" from concept to production...

These are two completely different vehicles. The concept in Geneva is of a smaller entry level car. The JX will slot between the FX and the QX and be built on the Pathfinder platform.

Negative. If anything, its a slightly stretched Murano (crossover) platform. Not the truck-like Pathfinder SUV platform.

Love Infiniti, but being one of the first to have LED tailights, they really need to get with it and get LED headlights.

@LACMAN,
at the G35 coupe which came out in 2003 as the 2004 model. The Infiniti G35 was on of the first cars to have LED tail lamps. And it thought it came out in 2003 it still look dam good even comparing to today car standard.
And at that time the G35 coupe was the first came in it class to have around 300 hp (298 hp to exact) and than the Lexus IS350 came out with 306 and BMW 335i came out with their 300 hp as well (at least on paper.)
