Are Station Wagons Becoming The Next Generation Of Performance Cars?

You'll probably never need a 200-m.p.h. station wagon, but if you do, isn't it nice to know the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond is also a good value, comfortable and has plenty of room for people and cargo?

The Black Diamond edition adds sculpted Recaro high-performance seats and visual glitz to the CTS-V wagon's superb drivetrain and chassis.

Performance cars are different than sports cars, IMO. Then again, the polarizing Ferrari FF is a bit wagonish. As you would guess from my other post here, I like that vehicle.

If the folks at GM were smart, they would build the G8 replacement along side the Camaro in Canada and offer the estate version.

I'd love a CTS-V wagon. That or a M5 touring, or Merc E63 wagon or...
I'd prefer all of these cars in wagon format to their sedan counterparts. I'd prefer a manual trans too, but not a deal breaker.

Yes, but I don't think were supposed to call them "stationwagons".

If BMW would have made a 335i wagon, I would have bought it, but they only make the 328i wagon. So, I got the 335i sedan with the fold down rear seats.
I like wagons, but I am in the minority. They just dont sell in that kind of price point. Under $30k wagons sell.

I'd like to see the Audi A6/S6/RS6 wagons in the U.S.
