I will never understand why car companies are so in love with announcing how much they want to grow. Every manufacturers plan to boost x% within the next 5 years and someone's bound to miss the mark. Why can't they just announce how much they've grown when the time comes? As a consumer, I don't give a hoot how much company X wants to grow - stop this madness.

If you don't sometimes fail your goals then you aren't challenging yourself. It's good that companies are preferring to aim high and risk under-delivering than to set the bar low and have the consumer pay the price.
