Ford Fairlane crossover given the greenlight

Automotive news is reporting:

As Ford Motor Co. prepares to ditch its conventional minivans, a company executive has confirmed that a Ford-brand version of its Fairlane concept will reach the market in 2008. Lincoln also will get a Fairlane-based vehicle, suppliers say.

I see a big failure upcoming. This upcoming car will not match the versatility of a minivan. It won't have the interior space No matter how bland they are, they are perfect for their jobs, moving people.

Resurrecting the "Fairlane" name is equal to VW doing the same with the "Rabbit." Yuk.

i like the looks of this car. chewy, maybe it won't compete with a minivan, maybe an suv? it sure as hell looks better than an explorer
