Info: BMW M6 Gran Coupe

Sources close to BMW brand confirmed to us recently that a BMW M6 Gran Coupe is on the company’s roadmap. The car has yet to be approved for production, but a full scale clay model has been already built and presented to the board.
The BMW M6 Gran Coupe will built atop the next year release of the 6 Series Gran Coupe, a four-dour coupe vehicle that will come to market to compete with similar offerings from Audi (A7) and Mercedes-Benz (CLS). Details remain scarce at the moment and many design details and technology may change until the launch date sometimes in 2014, but the new M6 Gran Coupe will eventually replace the M5 and M6 at the top of the M family.

We expect power to come from a new engine, most likely built atop the one found in the new M5 and with power near the 600 mark. To achieve its full potential, the engine will be mated to a similar transmission found in the new M5, a 7-speed DCT.
Another source close to the brand described the new M6 Gran Coupe as one of the best looking cars to ever come out of the ///M gates in Garching.

The M5 already laps the ring faster than the Panamera. The M6 gran coupe being lower and wider with more power should post some impressive numbers!!
