Mercedes-Benz was once again caught unprotected, as the secrecy around the second generation B-Class was destroyed hours ago by Autobild, which published the first photos depicting the compact MPV. Set for an official reveal at the IAA Frankfurt in September, the new B-Class is characterised by a bold, elegant and rather mature aura. Although it is a visible evolution in terms of styling compared to the current model, one cannot simply mistake the new car with the old one, due mostly to the fact designers were able to create a powerful personality for the W 246...

This week, Mercedes-Benz finally released the full specifications of the 2012 B-Class.

The cars are available in diesel and petrol engines, a new aerodynamics setting and great exterior and interior design. Starting with the engine, the impressive new car in B180 engine is equipped with a 1.6L gasoline unit powering it with 200Nm of torque and 122hp while the B200 comes with a 2.0L unit, which powers it to 156HP and 250Nm of torque...

You can tell how this car was designed to tackle crowded cities and parking along with offering a lot of practical interior space.

This photo or digitally altered image looks pretty good though. Although this car looks more van-like than the outgoing model, it seems to have a certain 'sporty' look to it that was absent from the outgoing model.

Looks like a condensed R-Class to me. This is not going to sell well in the U.S.
