Long Term Sonata proves quality and reliability is still a major issue for Hyundai
Car and Driver were among the first to give the Sonata it's stellar press ride it has enjoyed since the 2010 launch. Unfortunately it seems that for Car and Driver, the honeymoon is over

That's weird. They must have gotten a lemon. Plenty of people that i know, and including me have a 2011 sonata. I never heard of or have experienced any problems like this. The only thing that i have became aware about was the steering issue, which isnt even that bad. However its a smooth ride and engines running strong and i have 23k+ miles on it already.

LOL! You are so much fun to laugh at! Please post some more. You know, half the time I don't even ready your posts but just knowing that you took the time to respond makes me burst out. It's funny that you think that you're doing some type of rebuttal or trying to get under my skin because I have realized for quite some time, years really, that you're just a joke. Which is why I laugh. I can't wait until you post something even more funny!

I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say its still a relatively new model. They will hopefully be decent once they work all the new kinks out.

This is so funny. I was wondering when the anti-fan boys would land like flies on a negative Hyundai article.

I always wonder to myself when and if you idiots are ever going to learn not to judge an entire brand/line by one vehicle.

If youre going to say Hyundai is crap because ONE vehicle has issues, then I guess nissan's so-called 'premium' brand is crap, since c&d's long-term m56 had PLENTY of problems.

And you also need to say the 'almighty' honda is crap too, since their long-term acura rl spent as much time in the shop as it did in their driveway.

Get your heads out of your rears and realize every company has good and bad examples. The longterm Sonatas tested by automobilemag, autoblog and insideline were great examples so quality and reliability is NOT a major issue, like some retards here want to believe.

I think that the car market needs a severe reality check when it comes to the way the products are presented to consumers, imagine a law that would allow consumers to return cars within a 1 year period if the car has too many defects or just becomes undrivable within that period.

It would stop manufacturers from hiding behind the warranty, it would finally force them to make the real efforts people deserve when it comes to dependability and reliability.

I just want to point this out... but there has always been stronger/weaker nations. The Romans, Chinese, British, and now Americans have all shared that spotlight your quote is applicable 1000 years ago as it is today due only to it's broad encompassing nature that simply was originally a statement of the times (when it was written).

Or... a more sensible less racist approach to why there is a disparity between nations is to take a brief look at energy reserves and dominance. Why were the romans successful? They had the biggest military because they also had the largest food supply, however after forcing the soil to put out too much crops withered and the empire fell. Then lets look at Great Britain, they had very large coal reserves and at that time coal was the driving power of the great nations. Now that coal is an "old" energy source compared to larger easier to extract and arguably cleaner oil reserves. The USA is a major powerhouse.

What you are suggesting is that there is some sort of genetic or otherwise significant difference between different populations around the world that causes this disparity. You still have only provided anecdotal evidence which is worthless due to the causality vs correlation logical fallacy.
