RENDERED SPECULATION: Mercedes-Benz's Flagship Gets Drawn Up
When it comes to Mercedes-Benz's S-Class, it is an icon for the brand. The way it looks is relatively important for the rest of the marque since its lines and character typically transcends down the lineup.
Usually, the S-Class' attitude becomes worked into the C-Class. This is why the next-gen S-Class is important -- if the looks of the S interpret the C, which is the largest-selling product Mercedes makes, the S' design is crucial.
I guess you can say it's a trickle-down effect.
The current rendering has the S-Class sporting a bold "face" with a large, sweeping grill and a pair of headlights that appear to be inherited from the all-new CLS-Class. Its side profile is characterized by two sweeping lines and its rear end is a blend of the current S' squared-off looks and the CLS' taillights.

Character lines are strange.

Mercedes will do better than this rendered speculation (i hope). They are the last brand to not make every car border on the ugly line.

I'm gonna guess the style lines on the side will be a little softer

Wheres the picture of the "S" class? All I see is a rendering of the ugliest Chrysler 200 ever.
