Obama Fined For Unpaid London Traffic Fees?

Barack Obama has been landed with a £120 fine for not paying the congestion charge on his recent state visit to London.

The charge was levied on the U.S. President’s motorcade after his visit in May – but Obama’s own limousine, nicknamed the ‘Beast’, escaped a fine as roadside cameras were unable to capture a picture of the number plate.

Slow news day? This is old news, we knew about this when it happened. They have diplomatic immunity and will not pay the fines just as none of the foreign diplomats pay anything for all their infractions in DC and NYC. Do you get out of Plano often?

The last i checked, diplomats do pay for the tickets in NYC. Some of them are in thousands or millions.

monster, you don't appear to be reading that article well. It says the diplomats are in arrears in the thousands and even millions. they are not paying. having lived in manhattan, i can tell you, they break the laws all the time.
