I've seen production vehicles being test driven around Southern California. It looks ok, but Veyron performance will be hard for me to believe.

With all of that torque I can see it being possible but unlikely as these cars will probably be tuned down to be more practical and still fast. With a multi speed gearbox you can use a less powerful electric motor and thus have a longer range

All any electric car needs to do is to be able to drive 400 miles on a complete charge + a 30 minute top-off somewhere during the trip; i.e. Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Once the manufacturers accomplish this, they will start to sell in droves. as long as they are practically priced.

Veyron performance for this thing is a fairytale dream. Maybe top speed of +430km/h, but not the 0-100km/h of 2.5sec - not possible with current technology.
