Every Brand Makes Mistakes, Has A Flaw Or An Issue -- What's Hyundai's?
When you look at every brand out there, not just automakers, there is typically one problem that supersedes everything.

Take, for example, luxury goods designer Gucci. Sure, its products are rare and desirable but they also tend to be stamped with logos and tacky Gs all over the place. Or how about the retail space, where teen clothier Abercrombie and Fitch gives you a shopping experience that's the equivalent of a noisy nightclub, which has cologne being pumped throughout the store. If you were to ask a high-level executive they'd probably say it's part of the "experience." Some would agree, some would say it's an issue with their offerings.

For automakers it is a bit more evident: Scion makes a interesting product designed to target a specific buyer, yet its interiors -- as I experienced in a 2011 tC -- are swathed in hard plastics.

But for one brand that's been on a roll, Hyundai, we're left a little miffed. That's because we can't exactly figure out what its downfall is. It has good looks, a killer warranty, its interiors best the competition and they even have plenty of room.

What's there to dislike?

@Blazinboy

Get off your high horse.

To the average person it is rare. But if you're a glorified snob, yeah, it's normal and can even be considered crap.

All I can think of is to go a little easier on creasing the sheet metal.

I'm cold to their styling. That can also be said of BMW's "Flame Surface" era, so it's not a brand or price thing.

To much of a reliance on the Elantra to carry the brand.

The Genesis has nose-dived in popularity and even the Sonata's halo is beginning to dim.

The new Hyundais don't meet their gas mileage claims. They advertise that they have 3 models that get 40 mpg on the highway but they are actually getting closer to 35 mpg on the highway. People who are buying their cars for the gas mileage will be quite disappointed.

All of the manufacturers claim higher mileage than attainable.

Let'not forget that Hyundai is the #1 selling car in America right now, passing Toyota and Honda in brand loyalty. People who still associate Hyundai with cheap have not driven one lately. I have driven Porsche and Audi's and they don't hold a candle to my Genesis. I have not found a flaw in Hyundai yet, not that it doesn't exist but it isn't apparent right now. Currently customers are trading in BMW's, Mercedes, Lexus, Porsches and Infinity's just to be a Hyundai owner. Things may die down with Hyundai but for now we are just enjoying the ride!

^ fans like this setting the bar high enough for Hyundai to trip and stumble.

I'm surprised he didn't say rolls royce lol.
