Audi prefers to build its own plant in Mexico rather than using Volkswagen's US factory
Audi prefers to construct its own manufacturing factory in Mexico instead of utilizing the U.S. plant of parent Volkswagen, German magazine Manager Magazin reported, citing VW sources. The company’s CEO Rupert Stadler also wants a new facility in Mexico to produce the Q5 SUV, the magazine added.

Actually I'd have thought Mexico makes a lot of sense because VW has had significant operations there for decades, and if they can build the old beetle surely they can build a Q3, 5 or 7

I wish there was a way for Audi to break loose and be there own brand without VW's supervision. Sorry, had to rant but back to this story, if you think about it, (no offense to anyone) Mexicans work for less than Americans do.
