Simple.

By keeping their focus on Developing / Emerging Markets and not on the USA / UK / Europe.

The so called Developed Economies have reached a peak in terms of Vehicle Demand and so whichever manufacturer that first switched attention to the Developing Markets will get a nice share of that market.
