My understanding is that folks who can afford to buy a Ferrari are not making their decision based on the economics of ownership or maintenance. 7 years of routine maintenance is chump change compared to cost of repairs and consumables during that time.

Not so. I heard the initial service, brake inspection etc is $8k. You would definitely take this into account unless you are a collector.

I can afford a lot of over-priced items and services. But that doesn't mean that I will oblige them with ownership. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.

I always appreciate a good bargain, and this 7-year maintenance free program from Ferrari is a great bargain.
