RENDERED SPECULATION: Would You Consider A Prius If It LOOKED Like This And Drove Sportier?

RENDERED SPECULATION: Would You Consider A Prius If It LOOKED Like This And Drove Sportier?
If there is one car that stands for everything that is not completely gearheaded and against many of the great aspects of driving, I am sure many would agree that the Toyota Prius is the icon. Although I don't subscribe to that bandwagon, it's what I have heard time and time again.

There is something about hybrids and electric cars that people can't grasp. Maybe it's the quiet factor and that it has no "soul," or can't go zero to 60 in warp speed.

But what if that all changed and Toyota built a Prius with aggressive looks and it had a better drive? Imagine a two-seater vehicle that can get upwards of 50 mpg yet still give you a nervous chuckle.

According to AutoExpress that's in the works.

The Prius family is growing again. Toyota is already set to bring the seven-seater Prius Plus to UK showrooms early next year – but Auto Express can reveal that it’s also planning to launch a trio of all-new models in the next three years as it moves to turn the Prius into a standalone brand. This bold step will see hybrids sold through specific dealers by 2014.

That’s when the replacement for the current Prius saloon is due to arrive, and our illustrations show the cars that will join it in these new franchises. Readers may be familiar with the first of these, as the Prius C was previewed by the striking Prius C Concept at the Detroit Motor Show in January...

Note to Toyota:

I understand the economics of developing a new platform in these difficult financial times, so save yourself the money if you plan on putting together a half-ass hybrid sport. Unless you plan on developing a sporty hybrid from the ground up, do not even bother.

Engineer the next MR2 to be a hybrid car from the chassis up. Also, hire the engineers at Lotus to tune the damn thing so that it is actually fun to drive.

LOL did Toyota actually make that or did some idiot kid with photoshop do that. That is what you find when you google rice. Look at the rims and hood scoop. OMG Toyota now I see why you guys make such bland cars, because when you try to innovate you end up with this. Looks like the Nissan juke's little sister with their moms jewelry on.

I really don't know what to said about Toyota after seeing the new 2012 Toyota Camry on insideline, that thing is UGLY. I saw several pictures of the new Toyota Camry without camo on, from the side it's look like a blend of the Avalon and Corolla.

And from the front it look like it had the Kia Forte headlights. The only thing I like from the exterior on the new Camry is the rear tail lights. I think the best looking sedan right is the Hyundai Sonata (even thought it look like the last generation Lexus ES but more sportier looking.)

I hope they don't screw up with the new two door sports car that they're planning to bring out one for Toyota and the other is the Scion.

Toyota if people stop buying the Toyota Camry, you have no one but to blame yourself, you have 5 or 6 freaking years this is the best you can do with the new Camry?
