Hyundai Sales Finally Cool Off To A Still Impressive 10% Gain In July Sales
Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 59,561 vehicles in July, a 10 percent increase compared with the same period a year ago.  This represents an all-time sales record for both the month of July and the first seven months of the year for Hyundai, breaking the marks set last year.   This also marks the seventh consecutive month that Hyundai has set an all-time monthly sales record.

Year to date, Hyundai sales are up 23 percent versus 2010 in total, and up 36 percent at retail.  Sales to fleet accounts represent nine percent of the total sales year-to-date and 10 percent for the month of July.  Thirty-eight percent of Hyundai vehicles sold in July achieved 40 MPG fuel economy ratings.

"Consumer demand continues to be robust across the board for Hyundai, particularly with our imposing sedan line-up of Accent, Elantra, and Sonata Hybrid all delivering on our 40 MPG promise," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America's executive vice president of national sales.  "Accent sales are up an astounding 75 percent in the first full month of deliveries and our new sub-compact is expected to become the top selling nameplate at retail in its segment for July."

Genesis' sustained growth trajectory continued with July representing the 25th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases with a lift of 53 percent over last July.  Equus, our premium luxury sedan, is up 37 percent versus June and set an all-time sales record.  The U.S.-built Sonata and Santa Fe also saw increases of 17 and 15 percent, respectively.

If the sedan/coupe of the genesis are two completely different vehicles, why are they lumped together?

All on the Genesis huh? What's wrong? Salty because it's out doing the TL? I don't even care if the Civic can out pace the Genesis coupe since I read what consumer reports thinks about the new Civic. They think it's crap. So go ahead buy the new Civic which the tailights copied off the 1st generation Prius's.

Really autospies 2? Attach the link where that is a fact. Because everywhere I go I'm only getting total sedan and coupe sales. If you can't find it then how do you know?

Come on where is the info that Hyundai sold 50 coupes all year. I like facts like: Mazda 3 sedan and Sentra hint greenhouse. Mazda 6 and Acura ZDx hint side profiles. Or even Tundra, Lancer and VW iroc concept hint face. I hate rumors because it's no fact. If there is no fact, there is no nothing. After all lack of fact made Casy Anthony a free woman.

Can't find it huh autospies 2? Just for some stupid reason you saw 18,971 Genesis units sold for the total year and for some reason you assumed Hyundai only sold 50 Genesis coupes with nothing to back you up. Now if you look at it from a statistical reason, you gotta assume Hyundai sold thousands of Genesis coupes out of 18,000 units. That's more belivable compared to your weak 50.

Either Autospies 2 can't find it or he found it but refuses to attach a link because he was wrong.
