DESIGN Showdown: BMW X1 vs Range Rover Evoque -- Which One Makes You Tick?
I've been saying it since I saw the 2012 Range Rover Evoque on the street, it definitely looks unique on the road. It makes an impact and its design is expressive. It's futuristic and edgy.

But how's it look next to a HOT selling BMW?

The X1 has had ballooning success across the globe, so much so that it's debut in the U.S. market has been pushed back.

That's not something you hear about everyday.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand:

WHICH design do you think TRUMPS the other? Is the BMW X1 all you need or is the 2012 Range Rover Evoque catching your eye?

You are what you drive...Spice girls will buy Evoque on style and Viagra boys will buy X1 on performance. Next question please ?

From a styling standpoint the evoque easily wins its better looking than most small suvs but the problem here isnt styling one the X1 and Evoque dont compete as the Evoque is priced at the higher end of the X3s model range as base.

Definitely, the Evoque. The Evoque is priced higher because it's essentially it's big brother, Range Rover, in smaller form. It doesn't really compromise on anything else besides size.

X1's design is horrible and nothing compare to RR Evoque. RR Evoque looks like a shrunk RR sport and X1 looks like a ballooned 1 series hatch.

you are in financial trouble with both when they need fixing, but if you can afford a $10,000. transmission job they are both nice.

my BMW oil change was $120, for the year. My roommates nissan altima gets cahrged $40, 4 times a year. Thats a $160 a year versus $120, you are an idiotn autospies2. My brakes lasted me 65,000 miles.
and salahs2, thats what you get for driving a 20 year old car, something major will go wrong eventually.

2ndbimmer, I would look at why you do less oil changes, may you drive less than your friend? Maybe you use synthetic? Lets face it BMWs just cost more$$ to maintain.
