Here's a suggestions, dump the X drive and S drive crap!

I agree about the sDrive thing, but not the xDrive. They're branding it, just like their competitors do. If Audi can have an A4 2.0T and an A4 2.0T Quattro and Mercedes can have an E350 and an E350 4MATIC, why can't BMW have a 535i and a 535i xDrive?

Still can't figure out what sDrive means. Z4 sDrive 35is is just silly. And X Drive could be dispensed with - 330xi comes to mind.

Dustbuster, again it's a branding move. BMW wants xDrive to be as recognizable as Quattro and 4MATIC. I agree there doesn't need to be an sDrive designation (the Z4 should just be the Z4 30i, Z4 35i, and Z4 35is, for example), but I agree with BMW offering a 535i and a 535i xDrive, just like Mercedes has an E350 and an E350 4MATIC and Audi has an A6 and an A6 Quattro. If there's no designation, it's two wheel drive, if it's all-wheel drive, it gets an xDrive badge, just like the competitors all do.

That 1M title was silly as well but what's done is done they might as well leave it alone now.

For the smaller car below the 1 Series how about...ONE LESS or LESS THAN ONE or NOT THE ONE or ONE BELOW or NOT THE ONE..or...etc etc !

For Bimmers LT the 1-series call it 0-series.
I can't wait to take the 035i and the 0M for a spin.
