Even though only a year has passed since Lexus revised its European market IS with a Euro 5 compliant 5.0-liter V8 and some minor styling tweaks such as the LED front lights and a new instrument panel design, the Japanese carmaker has just introduced a 2012MY version of its high-performance sports sedan

Wait what? Its the other way around blazinboy. The better highways are less suspension has to work to absorb imperfections in the road. The "perfect" highway would be so smooth that you could run solid suspension and it would still feel smooth.

"The addition of a Torsen limited-slip differential, as well as the suspension upgrades, combined to knock off around 8 seconds from the car's lap time at VIR, putting it nearly equal with the vaunted BMW M3. It also equals or bests our tester M3's equipment levels while costing nearly $7000 less.
Well done, Lexus.

Changes for 2011 IS-F dramatically improved IS-F's performance both on road and on track. Roadfly.com tested refreshed 2011 IS-F and it lapped the Virginian International Raceway in 3m 5.4 sec that matches exactly the time of BMW's M3 and more than 1 second quicker than C63 AMG.
2013 IS-F might receive the same new Lexus suspensions systems as all new GS F-sport. Like Lexus Drive Mode Select and Rear wheel steer. So more suspension improvements should further improve the performance of IS-F.
