TEASED! Coming To Frankfurt: The FIRST, Maybe Second, Cool Subaru?
Oh-kay, now that I think about it, if Subaru brings an interesting to concept it would make it the second cool Subaru. The first is the WRX product line.
The brand that's known as a dream for Vermont-goers is teasing a sketch of a front wheel, headlight and fender. It's not much but our friends at AutoBild have already deciphered the "code" of this image. Long story short, it's a true to life version of the Subaru design concept, the XV.
Given that most of Subaru's autos are not geared to be hip, or at least the hip crowd, it will definitely be interesting to see if the concept steers in a different direction or if Subaru keeps its very happy and loyal base happy.

So it's basically a new Outback Sport? That is how I am seeing this.

From the black/white sketch it looks like the current gen Honda Accord...in the concept designs the rear quarter reminds me of a Toyota Matrix...why oh why Subaru.

Unfortunately so much of Japanese design is very similar. It is obviously a cultural thing. The shapes of cars and car features que's must relate to shapes in Japanese life. In reality there is nothing wrong with this. If you think about German cars there are some similarities in their interior and exterior designs as well. Personally I'm just not a fan of Japanese car design but at least it is distinct and original from other countries.

IVANURI97 is most likely right. It looks like a performance oriented outback of some sort. I'm thinking a Subaru's version of an Audi Allroad infused with WRX/STI parts.
