Porsche Issues Recall Over Seat Belt Anchors

Porsche Issues Recall Over Seat Belt Anchors
An improperly anchored seat belt is the cause of a recall issued by Porsche for more than two hundred of its 2011 and 2012 vehicles.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue involves the vehicles’ seat belt mechanism, specifically the seat belt anchor plate. The federal agency reports the hole in the plate may be too small, compromising the belt’s ability to protect the driver or passenger in the event of an accident. The NHTSA also reports that the seat belt anchor plate could also loosen over time.
