AWESOME or AWFUL? Is This The BEST or WORST Color For A Porsche 911?

AWESOME or AWFUL? Is This The BEST or WORST Color For A Porsche 911?
Now I know I just showed you a rendering of what could very well be the next-generation 991 cabriolet, but since we still don't have any official images let's get back to what's real in our world now.

While driving on my way to work recently, I spotted what may be one of the most unique-looking paintjobs on a Porsche 911 cabriolet to date.

Not familiar with this particular hue, I consulted the Porsche 911 expert, Agent 001, and he told me this color is known as Nordic Gold. Definitely an interesting choice as it seems to have more gold in certain light and a bit more orange in dull lighting.

But really, if you had a Porsche 911, would you be sportin' this drop-top in Nordic Gold?

It's not for me... but I don't hate it... I don't think it's AWFUL...

What's awful is being stuck behind that dog HS250h lol

I think that, by far, the worst color was that chocolate brown from the late seventies.

Here's the problem with colors like nordic gold (or pretty much anything that isn't silver, black or white)on a Porsche - if you buy it outright, you have to decide to keep the car for a long time, because re-sale will be tough and on trade-in the dealers will nail you big time for the less desirable color. If I was buying an unusual color, I would lease the car.
The shame is that Porsche cabs look incredible in some of these "off colors". A macadamia cab with natural brown leather is amazing.

Nordic Gold looks great under the sun, but in this grey overcast, it does not look good - but makes sense that a convertible owner would want this color for when the sun is shining and top is down.

It's a convertible, have fun with the color.

It doesn't look bad. I've seen worse colors. As for favorites Pearl White,Silver, Grey, Slate Gray,Blue Grey,Forest Green,Metallic Green,Bright Orange on original 911's, Medium Metallic Blue).Least favorite colors are Black,Dark Blue,Sand Beige,Yellow(although looks good on Italian cars),non Metallic Red(again looks good on the Italians),Brown.

That is standard color on 911 Targa in the current generation, it is one awesome color hue under the sunny days in SoCal.
