Consumer Reports Tests 5 Fuel Misers And Recommends NONE Of Them?
Consumer Reports has published its final test results on the Chevrolet Volt, online and in the October issue, completing a seven-month, three-season evaluation. Tests were conducted on other fuel-efficient cars, including the Fiat 500, Honda Civic Hybrid, Lexus CT 200h, and Volkswagen Jetta TDI.

Hybrids, diesels, and small cars. Oh, my.

As the government recently advanced an ambitious new fuel-economy standard of 54.5 mpg, automakers are working on the technology and designs that will make that possible. The cars CR tested in this test group reflect some of the ways that manufacturer’s are stretching out gas mileage.

The only one close to being aimed at the enthusiast is the Jetta, the previous generation that is.

I didn't say it was an enthusiast car, I said it was the only one out of the group close. It does handle and drive better than its rivals. But it is girly I'll admit.

The fact that Canada is the United States primary source of oil and has the third largest landmass in the world of a country makes it very relevant!

JD powers is full of it. How many American cars did it say were the best and ended up being crap? They are biased too. In fact it is hard to find any unbiased car tester, and when I say biased I mean toward both foreign and domestic.
